I think I’ve stumbled across a new Christmas tradition. This is the seventh year that Brad Craft, used-book buyer at the University Bookstore in Seattle, read aloud Truman Capote’s classic tale, A Christmas Memory. This was my first time hearing him read to an audience of appreciative adults. It had been a long time since someone read a story out loud to me, and I remembered how much I liked it. Live entertainment. Storytelling at its best. (And it doesn’t hurt that Mr. Craft looks like Santa.) I will have to make this a yearly tradition.
