I often think about my grandmother’s picking garden. It was such a sweet, wild mix of zinnias, bachelor buttons, and other pretties whose names I never knew. I still like a mixed bouquet. Sophisticated arrangements with only one or two stems are often beautiful, but they don’t please me in the same way.
