The Primrose Path

February 11, 2017

Primroses are making a late-winter appearance in grocery stores around here.  They are a welcome splash of saturated color and hold the promise of Spring and gardening.

They’re so pretty. Either we don’t get them here, or I’m not paying attention. We’re awash in pansies and snapdragons now, but they’ll soon be replaced in the landscapes with something that deals better with warm weather. Even the cyclamens are disappearing — what a difference those degrees of latitude make.

Primroses and my new copy of One Vacant Chair have arrived. Thanks, Rosemary!
