I’m really amazed by the variety. So many different colors, and so many cloud formations. Not only that, you got to go somewhere in an airplane! I love flying. (But not so much all the foolishness that goes with it, these days. I can drive to Dallas in five hours, and fly there in six.)
I was on a 4-1/2 hour flight from back East, flying into the sunset, so we seemed to keep pace with the setting sun for so long. But eventually the plane could no longer keep up, and the sun did set. (Makes you realize that the earth is spinning really fast.) It was a quick trip so I didn’t even pack my camera. I took these photos with my iPad.

How beautiful! We only get those views from elevation — physical/mental.

I suppose the beauty was even more special for being such a rare point of view (for me).

It really felt like I was on a space adventure, exploring a planet. Not just the usual view from down here touchjng the earth.
