Such a pretty flower, and your sketch is wonderfully creative. I just saw a photo a couple of days ago of pure white bleeding hearts. I love white flowers, so it was a treat to see them.

I’ve not seen the white ones. I don’t remember seeing these in Minnesota either. They are blooming profusely this year in Seattle.

One of my favorites! I have a start from Grandma Barten’s plant. 🙂 I do love the white ones also.

Every day I’m in awe over your paintings! Love to see them 🙂

  4. I’m always so impressed by your paintings and sketches. How much is self-taught and how much is knowledge from classes?

    • Rosemary Says:

I still remember seventh grade Art class and my teacher, Mr. Dvorak, who was fresh out of teacher’s college and very good. He taught contour line drawing and the color wheel among other things. Then in undergraduate school (1975 or so), I took two “art” classes in the University’s design program, which was part of the Home Ec department. Since then, if I’ve drawn or painted, it’s been on my own. I do regret that I never made drawing/painting a priority in my life.
