“March brings too much too fast.”
— Hazel Heckman, Island Year

Yes, I am finding that March is bringing too much too fast.  I am feeling behind, and as much as I’d love to sit down and paint some flowers, I can’t find the time.  Here is a small sample of what’s bursting into bloom right now.  I took all of these photos this morning in my neighborhood.

Ah. There they are. You know, I still have the vase my mother used when she’d bring a few branches of forsythia into the house for forcing. I may pull that out and spring (!) for a few branches from the grocery floral department.

They’re all just lovely, but there’s nothing like spring yellow, in all its forms.

Thanks for alerting me that this post had disappeared. When I checked, it had vanished. This is my reconstructed post. There are indeed lots of yellows abounding right now.

    Lovely.

    Absolutely beautiful!

  5. Winter hangs on here on the East Coast so it is nice to see spring has arrived somewhere!
