  1. What a gorgeous watercolor of one of my favorite early blooms…I will have to wait another 6 weeks probably before I see mine.

    I don’t think we have these beauties, or I’ve not seen them. Garden shops do advertise the larger, bearded iris, so perhaps people who do “real” gardens grow them. I especially like the photos of them in their natural setting, but the watercolor sketch is gorgeous.

    Oh I remember these and I LOVE them!! Thank you for sharing them. I could not get the nursery to get them for me. (though, I suppose if they won’t grow and that’s why they won’t, then I should be more grateful.)
