Branches Big with Snow

“Every branch big with it,
Bent every twig with it;
Every fork like a white web-foot;
Every street and pavement mute:
Some flakes have lost their way, and grope back upward when
Meeting those meandering down they turn and descend again.”
—  Thomas Hardy, from “Snow in the Suburbs”

    I’m glad you have a bit of snow to enjoy. My Wisconsin winter has been snowy since early December. Small, frequent snowfalls that were easy to keep up with. Just my kind of winter. Beautiful.

    Beautiful snowy photos of Seattle!

    I came to California to avoid the Northwest winter, but just look at what I am missing!

      I’m already missing the snow, too. It lasted two days and now has melted except for the disappearing remains of huge snowmen and snowballs — little piles of snow here and there.
