Hey look!  I’m branching out.  This is a departure from my leaf paintings.  My attempt at painting a whole tree!!

    And a very fine “attempt” it is! This one must’ve taken awhile, with all the detailed ink-work. It’s really beautiful!

    I like it. I also like seeing more use of the hashing(I think that is what it is called) as shading and as texture.

    The colors are fantastic. They remind me of the flame trees that were around my house in Liberia.

    And I wonder – is the gum tree the kookabura sits in the same as your gum tree? Probably not, but now I can’t get the song out of my mind.
