Circle of stones

Circle of stones

“What’s softest in the world
rushes and runs
over what’s hardest in the world.
The immaterial
enters
the impenetrable.
So I know the good in not doing.
The wordless teaching,
the profit in not doing —
not many people understand it.

— Ursula Le Guin, “Water and Stone,” from Lao Tzu Tao Te Ching:  A Book about the Way and the Power of the Way

Beautiful! “The profit in not doing” is a great way to follow the “need for work” post….yin and yang.

that is a lovely tribute. How much fun to gather the stones. Then to arrange them and display the circle, in your watercolour.

Bonnie gifted me a bag of stones, enough to make this circle. I love this simple display from found materials. So natural.
