I don’t know the significance of my moon snail shell’s name.  The scientific name does include the Latin word Lunatia.  Its round form does resemble the moon, I think.  Another evocative association for my little art object!

Once upon a time, a little moon shell decided that climbing a mountain was going to take entirely too long. So, he decided to fly.

He didn’t fly very well, but the gods were so impressed by his aspirations they picked him up and put him in the sky, where he could inspire all the other mountain climbers who were getting discouraged.

    The End.

I like your watercolor of the moon and stars and that snail shell all together — very enjoyable!

Thank you. I would like to do more compositions like this one. It was fun, and it’s one of my favorites.
