The paintings for this post were my attempts to play with color.  O’Keeffe’s “White Shell with Red” is an inspiration.  My amateur attempts fell far short of my aspirations for this challenge.

    Isn’t that O’Keeffe marvelous!? It’s always a little unnerving to put our work next to that of the masters, but I honestly think it serves a good purpose. We need to keep the best in front of us, always. It’s the reason I stay away from really bad writers or those who don’t inspire me. If influences creep into my work, I want only the best to sneak in there!
