Cherry Blossom Viewing at Its Peak
March 30, 2013
“Merrily, merrily shall I live now,
Under the blossom that hangs on the bow.”
— William Shakespeare
A few days of sunshine have popped the buds on the cherry trees on the University of Washington campus in Seattle. The trees are in their glory, all blushing white.
How fortunate we are to have these lovely cherry trees in Seattle. The other Washington (D.C.) celebrated its cherry blossom festival’s 100th anniversary last year. I still have a few commemorative stamps left over. I’ll have to use them on the letters I write this month.

I was there Friday afternoon and it really was “Godsmack”! I sat just outside the music building and was treated to some wonderful flute and piano music wafting through the open windows. Some how, the sounds of the music seemed to intensify the scene before me!!! I was only there for 30 minutes but left feeling as though I had been away for days. I really am enjoying your blog and wish I had found it sooner. I’m going to enjoy making my way through your previous posts. Each day you seem to capture subjects that touch me. It’s as though I am chatting with a friend over tea or coffee. Love it!

Hello, I came across your blog for the first time as I was looking for cherry blossom at UW and I love your posts! I’m also a new blogger and I’m wondering if I can put a link to your page from my site? Thank you.
