Flower in the Crannied Wall
by Alfred Lord Tennyson

Flower in the crannied wall,
I pluck you out of crannies,
I hold you here, root and all, in my hand.
Little flower — but if I could understand
What you are, root and all, and all in all,
I should know what God and man is.

so many varieties of wildflower, very pretty

  4. Might there be … a watercolour … of the mariposa lily?

    • Rosemary Says:

Oh, you’ve noticed that I haven’t taken up my paints lately. Hard to get back in the groove since I’ve returned from my vacation. But I will be having some time off at the end of the month, so I hope to paint evey day then. And yes, I’d like to try my hand at the beautiful mariposa lily.

They’re all pretty, but my favourite is number 7, the yellow flowers at a rest stop. It looks like a little flower person waving it’s head and outstrech hands at you 🙂
