Beauty Tips
February 9, 2011
“For attractive lips, speak words of kindness.
For lovely eyes, seek out the good in people.
For a slim figure, share your food with the hungry.
For beautiful hair, let a child run his/her fingers through it once a day.
For poise, walk with knowledge that you never walk alone.
People, even more than things, have to be restored,
renewed, revived, reclaimed, and redeemed;
never throw out anyone.
Remember, if you ever need a helping hand, you will find one at the end of your arms.
As you grow older, you will discover that you have two hands; one for helping yourself, and the other for helping others.”
— “Beauty Tips” often quoted by Audrey Hepburn, written by Sam Levenson

What a lovely and interesting quote from a lovely and interesting woman. Where did you find it?

I can’t remember where I first read this quote. I copied it into my journal years ago. But as I did some digging today, I learned that Audrey Hepburn did not actually write the poem/essay. She often quoted it, though. The author is Sam Levenson. I’ve corrected my post to reflect this.

I’m going to share this with the women in my bible study; I typed it up and will laminate it and tie it to a small bottle of lotion and use it as a table favor.

I really like the party favor/table favor idea. Thanks for sharing it.
