A Bookish Wish List
December 7, 2010
I just learned about a book give-away from Chronicle Books worth up to $500 to a lucky blogger and one of her readers. You can find out more about it at this link: http://www.chroniclebooks.com/happyhaulidays/.
I am a fond patron of Chronicle Books. I’ve put in several purchase requests to the Seattle Public Library for titles that are of interest to me. They publish many craft books, cookbooks, travel-related books, and other books.
I’ve also coveted their line of Moleskin journals and sketchbooks (hint, hint for anyone thinking of giving me a holiday gift this year!), but I’ve yet to upgrade to these wonderful notebooks for my writing, journaling, and painting projects.
So my Wish List includes several of the Moleskin items, plus a few upcoming releases that caught my eye. Here’s my list:
- A Butterfly is Patient
- Chez Panisse Fruits and Vegetables Eco-Notecards
- City Walks: Paris 50 Adventures on Foot
- Nests: Fifty Nests and the Birds that Built Them
- Pretty Cupcake Kit
- Sketchbook with Voices: Prompts and Inspiration from Contemporary Artists
- Shadow
- The Marvelous Museum: Orphans, Curiosities & Treasures
- Large ruled soft cover Moleskin notebook (five of these)
- Pocket watercolor Moleskin notebook (five of these)
- Large watercolor Moleskin notebook
- Large Moleskin sketchbook
- Large rules Moleskin red notebook (five of these)
- Pocket ruled soft cover Moleskin notebook
For a chance at winning my wish list, just write a comment on this blog post. But hurry, the contest closes December 10th.

I’m happy to know about all of these things on your wish list…especially the 50 walks in Paris! I was also happy to learn of Sonny Brewer from one of your earlier posts.

What an intriguing list! Some of the titles are quite evocative and would be very fun to discover under the tree (or in the mail)… Good luck!

On a completely different subject, have you seen the live wall on N. 38th St just East of Burke? I think you would like it, esp to photograph it over time.
It looks like it has been recently planted.
Best of luck on winning!
I continue to enjoy your blog, esp the watercolors.
