Round Barns
August 10, 2010
It’s unusual to see round barns. We pass this one on our drive between the Twin Cities and our farm. So many old barns are disappearing from the landscape. This one looks to be in good shape.
If you are interested in round barns, in particular, there is a website that has listed many of them. You can link to it here: http://www.dalejtravis.com/.

I too love and appreciate the round barns and love the logic behind their design. We did see wonderful barns in your area and YES, too many of them (much to the woe of barn owls) are disappearing.
Thanks for the link to the round barns site.

Sharon,
I’m so pleased you found my blog. I’d love to hear more about the logic behind the round barn architecture.
I recently asked the Seattle Public Library to purchase your new book, Toad Cottages & Shooting Stars. They did and I enjoyed it immensely (as I’ve enjoyed your older books).

Verry nice barn photo. I was in Northfield MN visiting relatives and took about 300 barn photos about a year ago. I am an artist and paint daily as a retiree. I am working on the photos — planning that each one will be a separate painting. Would you like to Try to take additional shots of what is in your area.?? I am always looking for subject matter. Painting is what I do. Thanks
