Lessons in Gratitude 2

November 20, 2009

My gratitude "tree"

“Best of all is it to preserve everything in a pure, still heart,
and let there be for every pulse a thanksgiving,
and for every breath a song.”
     — Kinrad von Gesner

I am grateful for each day.  Here is an excerpt from a poem that celebrates life:

“Thank you, Lord.
I want to thank You, Lord,
For life and all that’s in it.
Thank You for the day
And for the hour and for the minute.
I know many are gone,
I’m still living on,
I want to thank You.”
     — Maya Angelou, excerpt from “Thank You, Lord”
